Here I AM

This ghost photo was sent by Judy Sweider.

Previous correspondence: It has been our experience that usually the vortex represents the loved one who is visiting the family. Most vortices occur in photos with children or around family events. Your friend's photos shows the vortex very clearly, almost as if the spirit wanted to make a statement about his presence that could not be forgotten.

That last sentence echoed our sentiments (my vocal sentiments, and Judy's heart-felt sentiments. Verbally, she strains to be reserved; she is afraid of building up a false hope, which I understand. But down inside, she knew that the "botched photo" was not botched, and kept it).

Interesting to me, is the fact that the two people in the photo were not family. Judy is a teacher assistant, and the shot was taken in the gym at the Elementary. The adult in the photo was a fellow teacher assistant, and the child was a pupil; Judy snapped the photo as they were doing a little dance. It was taken on the nineth month of Doug's death. He was diagnosed with cancer three years earlier. It was also his birthday. And Doug was very much on Judy's mind on this day. I relate this because I don't know if Judy did when she sent the photo.

This is what makes me feel that the vortex in the photo was Doug, "jumping into the picture" (visualize the vortex with a cartoonish thought balloon attached, saying: "Here I AM, Babe; I'm alive!")

Doug was a big, strapping guy, with the heart of a teddy bear. He and Judy are folks that I consider to be my friends (I apologize in advance for taking up your time with a remembrance, Dave; am feeling the need, however, to offer a bit of graphic filler for the vortex that we think might be Doug).
