POW Cemetery

This ghost photo was sent by IGHS member Gary Stofer of gstofer@sidewindercomputers.com.

Gary said, "We discovered a few more interesting places to try our luck last night. The first was on Mann Rd, north of County Line in Marion County, Indiana. This house has a history of hauntings, and has apparently become a recognized spot for paranormal activity. Thus far out of the 100 or so pictures that were taken there, as well as video shots at the same direction when our camera was in use, we've not seen anything out of the ordinary other than a few orbs."

The second was south of the original pictures Andy Barnhart sent you a few weeks back, on C.R. 200E north of C.R. 800S in Johnson County, Indiana. These two prisoner of war cemeteries date back to the mid and possibly early 1800s. It is difficult to tell as the writing on nearly all of the headstones has dissipated over time. It is very quiet there at night, where the only thing we heard was several packs of coyotes.

I am guessing these POW cemeteries contained those from the Civil War. Of the 80 or so pictures here, we did encounter more orbs. But the most spectacular thing was discovered by me after going through the images several times. We videotaped these shots as well, I have yet to review it the videocamera to see if they appear on there as well. Fog was not in the immediate area, the moon was out but behind clouds, and behind the camera, in addition to the guidelines being followed I held my breath when taking pictures. Had what we see in this picture been my exhale, it would not look like this as I am right handed and breathe out and down below the camera, the mist seems to come from the right moving to the left.

Dave's Notes:
Notice the shape of the head of this ectoplasm. It is shaped as a sphere or orb as if the spirit is moving outward and either dissolving into ectoplasm or solidifying to become an orb.
