Real or Fake

The photo on the right is a fake used by a Christian sect in 1973 when they sent this photo out to the faithful who donated money to their cause. The photo was suppose to inspire contributions to their cause by providing some tangible evidence that what they were teaching was true. This photo belongs in urban legends because it has appeared in so many family albums over the years. This photo has been reported taken from an airplane, at a funeral service, at a cemetery and always by a father-in-law who is now deceased. No negative has ever been recovered validating the photo. The person submitting the photo firmly believes that the photo is valid and one of a kind, but the same photo has been sent to us over a dozen times in the last eight years.
The photo on the left was also sent to us recently by a new member to the IGHS. The person submitting the photo said, " I am glad to be a new member. I do also have a angel cloud photo that was taken by my father-in-law in route from Minnesota to Virginia during the Vietnam War. My photo is real close to the others and is not a fake. "
