Burns RV Park is a lovely park on the Northeast side of Burns, a small western town named for the Robert Burns. We traveled out to the Old Fort Harney, but as with many historical sites in the West, it was no longer marked, except by ranches. The only trace found was an old sign located on Hwy 20 about three miles from the site.
Fall colors were at their peak as we arrived at the RV Park. The Quails ran every where in the park and were a delight to listen to and watch. We made one trip to the Burns Cemetery and while Sharon was snapping photos, I attempted EVP. Check out what Sharon may have captured in our Free Ghost Photo section. The weather has been great, mid-seventies during the week we were here, but it does get a might cold at 15 degrees at night. Very peaceful and quiet. One day we drove out to the Paiute Indian Reservation and learned for Apache Tears which are small obsidian stones that are rounded and polished, no doubt tossed out from the volanco that created Crater Lake and Wizard Island.
